Tecumseh Carburetor Leaking Gas on my Toro Lawn Mower

Hello,

I have a Toro Lawn Mower with a LV195EA engine and a slow leak of gas around the seal of the bowl.  Can you provide advice on how I can stop the gas leak?

Regards

Kathy

Hi Kathy

The issue you have is a perished O-ring on the carburetor float that is no longer sealing.  To change this O-ring follow the instruction here.

How to Adjust My Tecumseh Carb

Hi,

I have a Tecumseh Engine H60 and managed to get it running by cleaning the carburetor, replacing the old gas.  The carburetor was a mess but I managed to get it running.  Any help on adjusting the carb and setting the float height will be great thanks.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Please see our instructions for adjusting your Tecumseh carburettor so your engine purrs like a kitten!

Flooding the Carburetor – Tecumseh Carburetor

Hi,

I have a Tecumseh Carburetor and after changing the needle valve, seat and float of the carburetor I restarted the engine.  Now when the gas bowl is full the float does not cut off the gas and the carburetor floods.  Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Bill

Hi Bill,

I think you inserted the seat in back to front.  The seat with the two rings must be inserted first and firmly to ensure a proper seal.  For more information use our How to Guide here as a reference.

Hi,

I own an old MTD Snow Blower with a Tecumseh carburetor mounted to the engine.  The Engine is a H-80 tecumseh engine.  I have notice a small hole in the fuel float and would like to buy a repair kit to get my kit up and running again.  The only identification numbers stamped on the carburetor is 153C2R.

Thanks
